When I think about my career, I'm most excited about:. . . Being back in the optical industry! I started my career in optical 15 years ago and then transitioned to the charitable non-profit sector for over a decade. Joining The Vision Council team allowed me to merge several interests: wanting to make a difference through service to our members AND fabulous sunglasses!
Daily, I read:The news. And when that inevitably bums and stresses me out, I pick up a light-hearted book. The world feels heavy these days, so I try to balance my content consumption with something positive. I just finished the novel Remarkably Bright Creatures and recommend it!
My theme song is:Shake it Off by Taylor Swift. When my nephew was a baby, we'd dance around to it together. Now he calls it the Aunt Cyd song!
I recommend:Getting a dog. And if you already have a dog, get another dog. You can never have too many dogs.
