Join the OWA community for an afternoon focused on building the confidence to show up, share your story, and be seen — both in person and online.
Permission to Be Seen is an interactive photo walk designed to help attendees feel more comfortable creating and sharing content on platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram. Using only our smartphones, we'll explore simple techniques for capturing authentic, engaging photos while taking some of the awkwardness out of being in front of the camera.
Throughout the walk, attendees will step both in front of and behind the camera, practice taking selfies and photos of one another, and even challenge themselves to ask someone else to take their photo. We'll talk about letting go of perfection, getting comfortable being a little silly, and capturing the everyday moments that can become meaningful social content.
Along the way, we'll connect through conversation, encourage one another, and practice turning photos into content worth sharing. No photography or social media expertise is needed — just a smartphone and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.
The goal is simple: leave feeling more confident taking the photo, being in the photo, and actually posting it.
Step outside. Step into the frame. Step into confidence.
Registration Deadline: Monday, September 28, 2026
