My friends call me: Yvette
I am the: Consultant at Digital Vision, Inc.
I joined the OWA in:1997
Words my colleagues use to describe me are:passionate, dedicated, hard-working,
The career advice I would give my 18-year-old self is:Never be afraid to try for any position! I almost missed the opportunity that led me to my career because I didn't throw my hat in the ring. (Thankfully a manager did it for me!) Never be afraid to share your ideas! It may be just what the project needs.
When I think about my career, I'm most excited about:Continuing to learn something each day! Our staff at DVI is always working to improve our customer's processes and bottom line: with the industry constantly evolving it's more important than ever to find efficiencies.
Daily, I read:Local paper, Vision Monday, too much social media!
My theme song is:I'm Gonna Love You Through It - Martina McBride
Unstoppable - Rascal Flatts
I recommend:Volunteering! Find a charity or group you are passionate about and donate your time. You will meet some amazing people along the way. I volunteer with the OWA on the Communications Committee and on the local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer committee (a very personal cause to me as a breast cancer survivor)
