This year's Connection Series luncheon, sponsored by VSP Vision, was a great event! Amanda Shapiro, the featured speaker, shared about new leadership strategies that build strong connections, boost resilience, and spark creativity in fast-changing environments. Attendees learned how to make a positive difference in their organizations and beyond, no matter what their role. This insightful discussion provided helpful hints and practical tools to embrace influence with empathy, mindfulness, and humility.

As Vice President of Wholesale Marketing for Europa Eyewear, Amanda brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the optical industry, having been formally involved in optical since 2016, and informally since 2009 #familybusiness.
At the BID$ and BEVS Networking Event, attendees enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while networking with friends! Highlights were again the fantastic items donated by OWA's sponsor companies for the annual online auction and in-person raffle. All proceeds go to Professional Development Programs. EyeMed Vision Care sponsored the evening's refreshments.
