My friends call me: Eyebay
I am the: Founder at Eye Love Style
I live / work in:Canada
I joined the OWA in:2011
Words my colleagues use to describe me are:Collaborative leader, Strong partnerships, Loyal
The career advice I would give my 18-year-old self is:Work is what you do, not who you are. Build a life outside of work: cultivate hobbies, relationships, and health alongside your professional ambitions.
When I think about my career, I'm most excited about:If you told me years ago where my career would take me, I wouldn't have believed you. It's been a total wild ride. I think back on all the people who took a chance on me, the opportunities that came out of nowhere, and the doors that closed just in time to push me toward something better. The adventure and the lessons along the way are what keep me passionate about what I do.
Daily, I read:On a daily basis, I catch up on local and world news with the Austin American-Statesman and the CBC. But when it comes to podcasts, I'm hooked! My top rotations include On Purpose with Jay Shetty, The Mel Robbins Podcast, The Art of Strategy, The Hormone Solution, and basically anything by Brené Brown. Oh, and as a total dog mom, I even have a whole playlist for my pup — ask me for recommendations anytime.
My theme song is:Cha Cha Cha by Bruno Mars
I recommend:Getting ahead of your health early. Preventive medicine is everything — because nobody tells you that midlife comes with a sudden personal microclimate! Navigating menopause takes good healthcare, lots of water, and a life partner who understands that "I'm hot" isn't a compliment &mdsah; it's an emergency demand for the A/C remote or a fan.
