My friends call me: Danielle
I am the: Am. Board of Opticianry Master-Certified Optician at A Child's Eyes
I joined the OWA in:2024
Words my colleagues use to describe me are:Passionate, Dedicated, Inspiring, Optimistic
The career advice I would give my 18-year-old self is:Trust your gut, you know more than you think you do. Don't let yesterday steal from today.
When I think about my career, I'm most excited about:Every day I'm excited about the opportunity to help the kiddos that come into my office. I'm excited to bring knowledge and training to my peers in regard to pediatric opticianry.
Daily, I read:Bible devotionals, inspiring stories, educational articles and the sign outside my office door that says, "God Grace and Gratitude"
My theme song is:Indiana Jones theme song — it's the song I hum to myself as I prepare to help kids. I like to remember that THIS moment is an epic one in their lives.
I recommend:Don't make sales, make connections. Yes, you're selling glasses, but if that's all you do you're missing out on so much. Never underestimate the power of a kind word, especially to a child.
