Luisa Delgado is Chief Executive Officer of Safilo Group and Safilo SpA, headquartered in Padua, Italy. She previously served as a non-executive member on the Board of Directors. She steers the company's corporate direction and provides strategic expertise on a comprehensive portfolio of 30 globally relevant brands and on the company's extensive wholly-owned worldwide distribution network present directly in 40 countries — including North and Latin America, Europe, India, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and China — and indirectly via a carefully selected distribution network in a total of 130 countries worldwide.
Luisa, who speaks seven languages fluently, joined Safilo, the industry's second largest eyewear company as the first female and first non-Italian CEO in the company's 82 year corporate and over 138 year old craftsmanship history. With a deep pride and understanding of Safilo's past but with a clear and unwavering leap towards the future, Luisa has set a new journey for Safilo, developing a vision and giving substance to its sustainability for the present and next generations.
While Luisa spent a large portion of her career at Procter & Gamble in roles of increasing responsibility followed by a brief year at SAP as a Global Executive Board member, Luisa has taken to the eyewear industry in record-speed and has become extremely passionate about eyewear product creation and preserving the company's "Made in Italy" tradition of superior craftsmanship since 1878. Luisa is also a member of the Supervisory Board of INGKA Holding B.V. (also called the IKEA Group), Leiden, Netherlands.
In her private time, Luisa continues to dedicate time to her personal passions of leadership and innovation development, female mentoring, as well as art and design.
